The flag is divided into two sections, with magenta at the top and blue in the bottom, defaced with a white tripled Venus, Mars and Mars with stroke symbol.

It was designed by Michelle Lindsay, a graphic designer in Ottawa sometime before 2009, and was first used in the Ottawa community’s Trans Day of Remembrance ceremony, and as such is also known as the Transgender Remembrance Flag.
