Androsexual is a sexual orientation to describe an individual who is primarily attracted – sexually, romantically and/or emotionally – to masuclinity, masculine expression, and/or men, regardless of gender identity or whether they were assigned male at birth, and without reference to one’s own gender identity: as such androsexual people may not be heterosexual or homosexual; for example, an androsexual person may be nonbinary, or attracted to those who are on the “masculine spectrum”, regardless of gender and sex.
Androsexuality is often used as in the andro-gyne attraction scale, as an alternative to the Kinsey Scale, where attraction to masculinity is on one end, attraction to femininity on the other, and bisexuality inbetween. Androsexuality is also sometimes included in the bisexual+ umbrella.
The -romantic equivalent is androromantic.
